    - Chack Firmware for Dragon Cam.

    - Use DCP tool everytime before you upgrade Dragon Cam.

    - Thank You.

NEVER , NEVER , NEVER auto-detect your cards or they will require
the repair files to repair them before you can use them for programming.

Ensure you KNOW which card you have , the older card is pic based ,
the newer card is a funcard 7 , also known as a prussian 5 card

in response to questions about what kit is required !!!!!!!!!

nowadays you need a suitable funcard 7 programmer , I use the yellow
    adteknik 3.6 usb myself

usually the dragon should come with a funcard 7 loader card

and for 1 west get an M2 card or similar that accepts the m2 files

thats all you need for almost everything available

and if you already have a suitable programmer , use it

    examples:-

    adteknik 3.6 usb ( yellow )
    elvis (serial) by adteknik
    dynamite usb
    infinity phoenix usb
    infinity usb

    etc

    ***

Please note there is only ONE WAY to program your dragon cam at the moment

that is with a dragon loader card

the old loader card was a pic based card
    ( the one I use myself )

the newer loader card is a funcard 7

only these 2 cards can be used , nothing else so sont ask !!!!!

    so questions like:-

    cas2 on its own ?? = NO
( use the cas2 addon to program the loader card )

cas 1 or cas plus ? = NO

    pcmcia slot on a laptop/notebook etc ?? = NO

any other method ?? = NO

    ***
    Example1 :-

    dragon + cas 2

can you program a dragoncam using a cas 2?

yes you can but you need the add on

and you still need the loader card

ie:- you cannot reprogram the cam using the cas2 , only by using the loader
card , which is either a special pic based card OR by using a funcard 7

the cas2 and addon are used to program the loader card , the loader is then
    used to program the cam

@Programming your Dragon Cam Using Infinity Pheonix USB @6mhz@

For Predatorxxx read as Predator2.33 or whatever version you are loading

Unzip Predatorxxx.zip file to a directory of your choice it has several
    files in but
the one we want is the Predatorxxx.dra file

Do not insert card until you start your programmer. I use the Infinity USB
    program.
DO NOT allow the programmer to auto detect the loader card.

    Start "Dragonload.exe"
Then you need the Dragon loader card inserted
in the Infinity USB programmer before you press connect otherwise
you will get the message "Unable to Connect, check setting, programmer and
    card"
Press "Program card" point program to the Predatorxxx.dra and click on it.
The card should load (sometimes you have to do that bit twice) When it says
    something like
"Card Loaded" remove card and move on to the Receiver with the Dragon cam
    inserted
and on a Free to air channel (I usually use Rai 1 on Hotbird)

Turn off receiver and insert Loader card then power on.
In cam menu it should say something like "dragon loader"
click ok it will then say if you really want to load click ok
and away you go you will have to press refresh a few times
to check it up loading it will take about 10mins when its completed
remove loader card restart receiver and away you go you should have the
    latest Predator loaded.

or using infinity and v1.48 software and funcard 7

    dragon funcard 7 programming

in version 1.48 direct dragon loadercard programming support is included,

you have to choose prussian 5 card and select proper files - fun7 flash,
    predator .dra file
(not bin one) and if it ask you for spanning type select reverse spanning of
    file into eeproms (2nd choice)

    everything else is automatic.

For the older serial "elvis" and definitely for the yellow 3.6 usb "elvis"
using multiprog v1.80 or later !!!

    @@@

    @ALTERNATIVE METHOD@

For this method, you need a FUN7 card
Using a suitable program, program the FLASH of the FUN7 card with
    FUN7LDR.HEX,
and program the EEPROM with predator2XX.bin. Make sure the program you use
handle the large eeprom size of the fun7 card correctly!
    END alternative method

Insert the programmed card into the Dragon module. Insert this into a
    receiver
and turn on the receiver. make sure you are tuned to an FTA channel.

Go to the Common interface menu on the receiver, and select the "Dragon
    Loader" module.
In the next menu, select "yes, Load module".
Now a menu appears indicating that loading is in progress. To see the actual
    progress percentage,
select "refresh". There is no auto-refresh because some receivers had
    problems with that....

When loading is complete, a menu appears saying "Loading successful". REMOVE
    the loader
card from the module, and switch off and turn back on the receiver.

There are two type of dragonloader cards. The first one was a pic based card
    (PIC16F84A).
The second one, is just a Fun7 (2x24LC1024) and it is marked as Fun7.
As an alternative, a standard Fun7 can be used as a dragonloader card.

To program the Fun7 based loader card, or a standard Fun7 card
I recomend this way of doing it, since it is the fastest and easiest way of
    doing it.
The best thing is that it also works on the serial version of the
programmer, and it takes less than 2 minutes.

    Go to the Funcard tab
Give the project a suitable name.
Load the *.dra file as external eeprom.Select EEprom as 2x24LC1024.
Fun7Ldr.hex as Flash (this file is normally distributed with the .dra file).
Leave (or make sure that) internal ee is unticked.
Press program, and wait about two minutes.

If this fails, it is most probably because the loadercard is read protected,
and therefore needs to be erased.
To do this, tick all three tickboxes for the memory, press erase, and try
    again.

To program the picbased card, one needs to have the USB version of the
    programmer,
the old serial version can't handle this card.

    Go to the Dragonloader tab.
Give the project a name. Load the *.dra file, and select DragonLoader as
    card type.
Then just press program, sit back and wait, since it takes a while.
This way of loading works for Fun7 based cards to, but it is much slower.

@For the ORANGE adteknik usb phoenix programmer@

    1) downloaded a proggy that told me which com port it was using it said 4.

    2) I used my vx multi pro to load flash set as fun 2 (as it has no support
    for fun 7)
but ANY funcard programmer will do this task as they all can manage a
    funcard 2

    3) then using t.j.s banana dragon load software to load the latest .dra file
    it worked a treat.

before this all i got was a please remove card message. hope this helps.
    gaz1969

ps:- use the dragon loader software downloaded from the adteknik site set it
    to com 4
( or whatever your com port actually is )
load the latest .dra file and press program
as long as you have the flash loaded on the card everything should be ok.
otherwise make sure you have programmed the funcard 7 with the flashloader
first , then follow the above procedure

    @@@

    @You need:@

    -Smartmouse compatible card programmer
    -The dragonload.exe program

-Connect the card programmer to com1 or com2, make sure the programmer is in
    6 MHz mode
    -Execute "dragonload.exe"
-By pressing the "Settings" button, you can change from com1 to com2
    -Press "Connect"
-In the file open dialog that appears, select the firmware you want to load.
-The card will now be loaded.

@Here's a quicky on how to edit your New Matrix Reloaded Keys into a DRAGON
    CAM@

1- Go into MENU in your receiver remote control.

2- Go into CONDITIONAL ACCESS again with your remote control.

3- Go into PREDATOR V1.0 with your remote control.

4- Go into DEBUG with your remote control.

    5- Go into NAGRAVISION

    6- Go into for :- Digital+ 4101 ; TV Cabo 4901 ; Polsat 7101

7- In each one of either Digital+ or TV Cabo or Polsat you will see a choice
of 2 key lines to edit: 00 or 01

8- In todays example there has been a change in Digital+ key line 01

9- Choose key line 01 and then you will see 3 small question marks.
There you enter the keys which are in digits.
For example todays set of 8 keys are available when you download the files
    like xamuh or mach1 etc.

10- Once you have entered those 8 sets of 3 digits. The menu will save. them

11- Change any other keys you like , and check the keys on screen against
the ones you have wrote down.

12- Exit out of all of the menus until you come back to your FTA channel.

13- Switch ON your receiver and go into a scrambled signal.

You should now be able to watch Digital+ or whatever you have changed

    @Programming Keys Using Remote@

You need a current key for the provider you want to update usually found in
    the updated files
as MR_KEYS.TXT or similar you need to know what provider and what key
    you are going to update Say the old key RAI 0C [0B 2F 04 2A CB 97 2D 06] -->
    [011 047 004 042 203 151 045 006]

I will use my Echostar 3000ip via as an example
    Enter Menu
Find Conditional Access and press ok
Find Predator x.xx and press ok
Scroll down to Debug press ok

    Debug then reads.
    Irduhto
    Sucka
    Negravision
    Viyuckses
    Clonax
    Exit

Find the system you are going to update, Example Sucka (Seca) provider 0030
    RAI On Sucka press ok
    Sub menu reads
    Sucka 1
    Sucka 2
Enter Sucka 1 and scroll down to provider 0030 RAI and press ok
You should now see 3 row and 8 goups of characters in each row
Key 0C xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
Key 0D xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
Key 0E xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx

Say you were updating the OC key I will use an old key as an example you
    want
    0C 0B 2F 04 2A CB 97 2D 06
    You need to enter these in 011 047 004 042 203 151 045 006
So on the Key OC line press OK and you will see
    Sucka->RAI=>0C=>

??? (The line where you enter the new key)

So you enter the first 3 digits 011 and after a short pause they will move
up to the top of the page and you will see.
    Sucka->RAI=>0C=>0B
Then you enter the next 3 047 and after a short pause you will see.
    Sucka->RAI=>0C=>0B 2F

Continue entering 3 characters at a time for the whole line.
When you have entered the last 3 digits you will have successfully updated
the 0C key or whatever key you wanted to update. It's a whole lot easier to
do than write so have a go.

If you fudge up your Dragon loader card these files can repair the card for
    standard loading
with Dragon loader in phoenix mode.
If you have any auto detect in the programmer you use,( especially infinty
    USB),
it is best to turn them off as they wipe the loader detecting the card.Which
    has caused umpteen problems.....!

    The Fixes.....

If the card you have is marked fun 7 then write the fun7ldr.hex to the card.
Select fun card or atmel (at90s515) (fun2 willl do) on your programmer and
    write it to the flash,
no need for anything else in the eeproms.

If you have an older dragon loader card ( which are not marked fun7)
then you could select gold card on your programmer and write the 2mb loader
to the pic on the card.

Both cards have the same 2m eeprom arrangment.

The fun 7 version can now be written with the older black infinty programmer
    using the latest 1.48 software,
which can accomodate the eeprom configuration.(Select option 2 when
    prompted).
It does not use the Dragonload.exe program.

@Programme loader card with Vxmulti 2 pro tutorial@

    - loading the fun7 loader card with the flash -

Reprogram the flash of the fun7 card:
Get a copy of Chipcat 3.0
    - Run ChipCat.exe and click on configure icon
specify your com port (clock 3.5 Mhz) and
tick the box 'Don't write EEPROM if all addresses are $FF' - 'Close'
    - Now select 'Fun-Card, AT90S8515 + 24Cxx and tick boxes
    'Lockbit 1' and 'Lockbit 2'.
    - Put fun7 card in vx-multi and switch it to mode 4.
    - Click on 'Erase AT90S8515' icon to erase flash of loader card.
    - Click on 'Open (1st one)' to open the hex file.
    - Open the file 'FUN7LDR.HEX' from the Predator 2.34A zip archive.
    - Click on 'Write' icon (same as pressing F3)
This will now write the dragon loader program to the loader card.

    Now exit Chipcat software.

(Note you will only need to do the above once, to reload the flash of the
    loader card).

    Switch vx-multi to mode 0.
    Run dragonload.exe
    - Click 'Settings' to set your com port - 'OK'
    - Click 'Connect' - it will say 'CONNECTED' in Green
    - Click 'Program card...' and open the 'Predator dra' file (e.g.
    predator303.dra) - 'Open'
    - You will see window open with 'Programming progress' indicating
    the status of programming.
(Note: If it fails to program card, pull out fun7 card and push back in
    vx-multi and try again).
    - Once finished, it will say 'CARD LOADED' in Green.
(Note: to be sure the card is programmed ok, perform the task again by
clicking on 'Program card...' and load the Predator file 2 or three times).
    - Select Disconnect and remove fun7 loader card.

Program the dragoncam the usual way in the receiver.
(- Switch off receiver and remove cam, put loader card in cam, put cam in
    receiver, switch on receiver,
goto cam menu, and load the dragon cam. Once finished, remove loader card
    and re-start the receiver).

    @@@

    @APOLLO@

If you are using the APOLLO parallel funcard programmer ( or similar )
and win-XP when you first load funprom v3 remake you get an error ,
goto menu and click load NT drivers and reboot the pc , then it should load
    ok.

Insert dragon funcard 7 loader card with contacts face down on the underside
tick the flash and load the fun7ldr.hex file
set the external eeprom to 24 2048 and tick it ,
and load the predator bin file , ignore the warning , program card , load
into dragon cam in standby mode ,
with contacts on upper side switch receiver back on , go into cam menu and
select dragonloader and load the file ,
wait until it says "loading successful" and then goto standby again ,
remove card , switch back on and the cam should now say predator vx.xx and
    be working.

However , I tried the above and it came up with "invalid image"
at the end of the programming so it may not be compatible with this software
    or programmer

    @How to repair a Dragoncard @

To repair a card both Studio 4.51 & 4.61 have the files ready to it,
this I've found out when downloaded Studio 4.61 and had to re-load the
    drivers,
the how to repair a Dragoncard (Either) is in the readme which for is driver
    loading information.

Basically put Studio in the programme mode,
if the correct card is auto-detected properly just press Icon "Dragon
    repair",
for me I had to detect, manually turned off the eeprom and pic options
(leaving just AVR)when card had been detected,
just pressed "Dragon repair" Icon a few minutes later the success message.

When completed just loaded the card normally and tested it worked fine.

Any programmer capable of Phoenix 6Mhz can programme the Dragon card (don't
    think Vx Can do this),
but the repair of loader card appears to be restricted to CAS II with add-on
    and Infinity.

    Hi,

Sorry to reply to your post but I have read through your post and could not quite see what I was looking for. I have bought a Technomate TM 8000 HD80 MC to replace my sky digi box. If I understood it right I need a CAM called Dragon CAM and I can use my Sky viewing card on the dragaon cam and receive the same channels I am receiving now. IS there anything I need to do other than that? Could you please give me some advise. It would be nice if I can get some other channels too. I will be using the same sky dish for now.

    Many thanks in advance

    ok så du använde denna:

    @ALTERNATIVE METHOD@

To do this, tick all three tickboxes for the memory, press erase, and try
    again.
