    Today's Conax keychange was different.
It seems that all older CAS3 cards are now dead which means that the number of people who
are able to get new keys suddenly decreased dramatically.
Unfortunately, the M-II team is one of the affected sources and therefore they will not be able to deliver new M-II files anytime soon.
However, this does not mean that there won't be a way to see Conax again
in the near future but I have no idea when will that happen and how much will that cost us.

Some people say that my previous comment was just pure speculation. I disagree.
Many cards died after the last two keychanges and that is simply a FACT.
There may be two reasons for M-II team not being able to deliver new files.
One is that they were affected by the recent cardchange and lost their MK.
It doesn't matter if they lost it after the first or the second keychange.
They simply did. The second reason could be (you won't like this one)
that even though they know a way how to get new keys they saw an opportunity here to put a new
(super-M2, M-III or whatever) card on the market. All other commercial-card teams are doing this.

Why not M-II? And to be clear on this, I think that the first reason is what we are dealing with, not the second.
And here is why: Could we watch everything with just a season interface without any smartcards? Sure!
But what would that mean? No cards? Can I be serious? But that would not be comfortable, we would have to leave the PC on. I guess many of you think this way these days, including me sometimes. I got the feeling that when 10 different commercial cards and CAMs appeared, all this we one used to call hobby turned into business. It happened during the golden Seca-on-piccard times when we got used to watching three hundred of TV channels for free (if I don't count the Aston CAM). After this, we would buy almost anything we could afford just to get more and more channels. I'm sorry, but I can't call watching TV a hobby, especially when it's not even for free. If we didn't do that we wouldn't see so many different cards and CAMs being released. People want to watch free football and free porn. There's no hobby in that, really. Now back to the M-II card team. They defeated the expensive Penta VR3 and they gave us Conax support for more than a year. They could have released new M-III card everyone would buy again and they would make more money.
    But they didn't do that.

Instead, they kept supporting the very cheap M-II card and I'm grateful for that because
I see they still got the "D2-MAC spirit"

I wouldn't be surprised to see Conax keys or files again but I just think this might be one of those times when we wait a little bit longer.
