Dear Mr/Mrs/Ms,

I recently bought a CXC-2000PVR and I'm very pleased with my purchase.
However, I seem to have some problems with setting up a favourite channel listing.

If I create a favourite listing from a set of channels, let's say channels channels which reside on network positions 46,3,78,132 and 72, I can't get them in sequential order ranging from channel position 1 to 5.
Having the channels remain on their original number is very confusing, especially when network numbers range from 1 to 400. I have created a favourite listing with about 30 channels and I can't access them by their sequential number in the favourite list (i.e you have to access them by their original network position number and not by 1-30).

Is this intended by design or have I missed something?

Thank you for your email.

Our new range of models do not assign new channel numbers to channels that have been placed in to the Favourites list; instead they keep there original channel number. However you can use the CH+ and CH- buttons when in the Favourites list to only change between these channels.

Thank you for responding.
Have you considered including this as an option in future firmwares? After talking to other owners, I am only one of many that find the lack of this feature strange.
If you have a large favourite list you can't expect one to have all the original numbers memorized. Especially when they range up to 400.
To put it in perspective, imagine doing an auto-tuning on a TV set and then not being able to arrange your favourite channels on the 1-9 buttons on the remote.
I am aware of that CH- and CH+ will take you through the list, but accessing one or more specific channels becomes rather cumbersome by using this method.
Also, you don't have a good overview where in the list you currently are, e.g "Should i press CH- or CH+ to reach that channel...".

I am sure many will appreciate such an option.
