If Dolby Digital is activated you won't get any sound through the scart cable to your TV. Instead the sound output is through the S/PDIF connection on the back of the box. So, try deactivating Dolby Digital by accessing the menu of the box. Since you don't state the make and model of your box, you'll have to read the manual if you don't know how to do this.
