I had problems too and found a solution.... in my case clicking "Add mixes manually" did actually bring up a window requesting initial tuning data... however clocking "Save" failed to do anything... what I didn't realise is that the frequency field box was expecting the frequency in kHz and not Hz... so it simply wasn't accepting the values... as soon as I took off 3 extra zeros from then end, off it went scanning for multiplexes...
