The reason for Nokia models 210 & 212 have difficulties with
older Senda cards and not authorized cards have it source in
a IC called TDA4008T. This circuit is the feeder of the 5 Volt's
which goes to the smartcardslot and the smartcard.
This circuit can only supply the card with maximum 0.065 Amp's
and can also be programmed from the SW to a specific sourcelimit.
To overcome this, it's possible do a smal modification to outmanover
the circuits significance.
Solution:
Lift pin 17 on the TDA4008T and then connect a 1kohm resistor from
the lifted leg to pin 19 on same IC. On the spot which pin 17 was
soldered, connect 5 Volts via a 100 ohm resistor, choose any place
on the PCB where you find 5 Volts or from the main powersupply.
